U.S. Department of Education's Student Information Center and the Ministry of Education's Study Abroad Service Center Enter into Cooperative Agreement

The U.S. Department of Education's Student Information Center today announced a collaborative agreement with the Ministry of Education's Study Abroad Service Center to promote academic exchanges and comprehensive services for international students to further enhance the study abroad experience.

The partnership will focus on providing comprehensive support for international students coming to the U.S., including academic advising, mental health services, and career development resources. The two organizations will jointly develop an online platform that integrates student information and service resources to facilitate international students' access to essential information and support. The platform will provide information about academic programs, internship opportunities, visa counseling and life guidance to help students adapt smoothly to study and live in the United States.

Officials from the U.S. Department of Education's Student Information Center said, “We are well aware of the challenges that international students may face in adapting to a new environment. By partnering with the SIC, we hope to provide international students with more comprehensive and systematic support to help make their study journey in the U.S. smoother and more successful.”

At the launch of the partnership, a representative from the Ministry of Education's Study Abroad Service Center emphasized the importance of international education, “Today's students are not only future leaders, but also participants in the era of globalization. By providing better services and support, we hope to help international students realize their full potential and integrate into new academic and cultural environments.”

The two sides also plan to conduct a series of joint activities, including study abroad information sessions, cultural exchange events and career development seminars, to encourage international students to participate and learn more about the U.S. education system and its career development opportunities. Through these activities, international students will be able to build broader social networks and expand their horizons.

In addition, the two sides will work together to study the needs and challenges of international students and publish regular reports to provide data support and recommendations to policy makers, and to promote the continuous improvement and development of study abroad services. Through this collaboration, the two sides hope to enhance the satisfaction and success rates of international students and provide them with stronger protection for their study and life in the United States.

To further support the integration of international students, the two parties also plan to establish a mentorship system. The system will provide each international student with an experienced mentor to help them better understand the U.S. educational culture and lifestyle. Through regular communication and feedback, international students will be able to receive timely guidance and support when they encounter problems, thus reducing isolation and enhancing their sense of belonging.

In addition, the two sides will explore the creation of an online community platform to facilitate communication and interaction among international students. This platform will be an important place for students to share their experiences, resources and advice, helping them to better cope with challenges in their studies and life. The platform will also provide information on career development to help international students plan their future career paths.

This collaboration not only supports international students, but also actively promotes the internationalization of U.S. higher education. The cooperation between the U.S. Department of Education's Student Information Center and the Ministry of Education's Study Abroad Service Center will lay a solid foundation for enhancing the attractiveness and competitiveness of the U.S. in the field of global education.
